Inspection Procedures to Protect Your Home

The following is a scenario of the procedures Tahoe Keys Resort/Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau performs every time a guest checks out of your home:

A Tahoe Keys Resort/Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau representative performs a lock down of your home. Lock down procedures include securing your home, adjusting the thermostat, removing trash and inspecting for possible damages. Lock downs are also performed after homeowner use. This includes your friends, relatives and business associates. Inspections will be performed following service calls of persons to whom you have authorized a key release. This includes real estate agents who may escort one or more persons through your home. If your home requires cleaning as a result, Tahoe Keys Resort/Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau will clean and charge your account.

Required Maintenance and Deep Cleaning

We require a bi-annual maintenance and deep cleaning of your home. This is to ready your home for the new rental season. You can decide if you want us to schedule and coordinate the work or if you prefer to perform the required tasks. If you decide to complete the work, we will schedule an inspection of your home.

A list of housekeeping requirements is mailed to owners in the Spring and Fall so they may make the assessment as to whether they prefer to deep clean

their unit themselves, or contract with Tahoe Keys Resort/Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau's Housekeeping Department to conduct the deep clean.

Cleaning Following Personal Use

Tahoe Keys Resort/Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau always cleans after guest use. As a homeowner, you have a choice (1) you may clean or (2) you can direct us to clean. It is necessary that the unit is properly cleaned and set up with the appropriate number of towels, linens, toilet paper, Kleenex, soap and garbage liners prior to a guest's arrival. Enjoy your personal use and leave the cleaning to us!

Please note that only the owner has the option to clean their property themselves. Please note that all owner cleans must meet the standards set forth by our housekeeping department. All guests are subject to regular cleaning fees.

Property Maintenance and Upgrades

Tahoe Keys Resort/Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau represent the finest vacation rental properties in South Lake Tahoe. Our AAA designation mandates that we uphold standards of quality in the accommodations that we represent. We will only represent well maintained properties. It is essential
that all carpeting, paint and furnishings be in good condition. Owners should understand that furnishings and carpet do not last forever. Properties that reflect current decorating schemes and quality furnishings rent more frequently due to our affluent clientele.

We perform annual upgrade inspections to alert owners of household items and furnishings that may need replacing. It will then be necessary for the owner to schedule a time for necessary repairs or upgrades to take place.

Our Property Management Department will gladly assist you with recommending local contractors and interior designers to assist you with your property.

We will gladly provide assistance with shopping for decorating items or coordination of upgrades in your absence. For this service, a fee of $40.00 per hour will be charged to cover our time and labor during the process.
