Tahoe Keys Resort and the Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau are
located in South Lake Tahoe, California. Located at the southern
tip of Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe is only 58 miles south of
Reno, Nevada, 198 miles east of San Francisco and 100 miles northeast
of Sacramento. When you stay with us you are just minutes to
the lake, to some of the best skiing in North America and to

Is Tahoe Keys Resort lakefront?
A
Tahoe Keys Resort is located in the Tahoe Keys, the only marina
community on Lake Tahoe. All waterfront homes and condos are
located on one of numerous lagoons, canals or marinas. All
of the homes have great amenities and comfortable accommodations.
Most homes and condos have a private boat dock, providing direct
access to Lake Tahoe and your favorite watersports. In the
winter, skiers prefer staying at Tahoe Keys Resort because
of our proximity to the slopes. Another advantage of staying
at Tahoe Keys Resort is that you will be close to the year-round
nightlife in town and at nearby famous casinos!

What is the difference between the North
Shore and the South Shore of Lake Tahoe?
A
You can drive completely around Lake Tahoe in about an hour
and a quarter, so everything is relatively close to our properties.
Many people favor the South Shore because it offers the most
opportunities for recreation. Casinos at Stateline, skiing at
Heavenly Mountain and all manner of water sports and summertime
activities are within minutes of our properties. The North Shore
has excellent skiing opportunities at resorts such as Squaw Valley
USA and Alpine Meadows. However, the different recreational venues
tend to be more spread out and require more driving. If you are
not familiar with Lake Tahoe, we recommend that you stay at the
Tahoe Keys Resort or the Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau properties
and explore the area from here. You will be assured of a pleasant
experience!

What ski areas are near you?
A
Heavenly Mountain is within minutes of all properties at
the Tahoe Keys Resort and the Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau.
Heavenly Mountain is the largest bistate ski resort in the
United States, rising to 10,100 feet -- the highest elevation
of any ski resort in Lake Tahoe! If Heavenly isn't enough of
a challenge for you, South Lake Tahoe is located less than
an hour from 15 ski resorts.

properties are centrally located to a multitude of diverse

Lake Tahoe's largest selection of casinos is located on
Stateline in Nevada, right next to South Lake Tahoe. After
an exciting day on the lake or the slopes, enjoy first-class

Harveys and a variety of smaller casinos!

minutes of any of the Tahoe Keys Resort and the Lake Tahoe

Do you offer shuttle service to casinos and skiing areas?

By design, Tahoe Keys Resort and the Lake Tahoe Reservation
Bureau properties are in residential areas that offer the privacy
of your own home neighborhood. Although there is no direct
shuttle service from your rental to casinos and skiing areas
provided by our company, there are numerous clean, inexpensive
and reliable car-free transportation options in South Lake
Tahoe that are easy to access.

Do I need a car if I stay at your properties?
A
There are numerous clean, inexpensive and reliable car-free
transportation options in South Lake Tahoe that are easy to
access. However, we recommend renting a car if your vacation
plans include exploring as much of the area as you can. With
so many things to do and see, it is easier to enjoy your vacation
on your time schedule if you rent a car.

How far is the Reno airport from South Lake Tahoe?
A
Reno International Airport is 58 miles and one hour and
15 minutes travel time to our registration office. If you rent
a car, take U.S. HWY 395 south to U.S. HWY 50 west to Tahoe
Keys Boulevard and turn right at the Tahoe Keys Marina sign.

What activities are there to do near you?
A
There are a multitude of year-round activities to enjoy
that only require five minutes to an hour travel time from
our properties.
In the summer, there are enough out-of-doors activities to
keep an entire family busy for months. Pack the sunscreen and
have fun boating, water skiing, jetskiing, windsurfing, parasailing
and rafting. Fish. Golf. Play tennis. Rock climb. Hike and
bike on the flat or on the mountains. Visit a beach and take
a picnic and take a dip. Ride a horse and ride a trolley. And
more!
In the winter, choose from 15 ski resorts that offer skiing,
snowboarding, telemarking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing,

What should I bring when I stay with you?
A
Groceries are all you will need! A "starter kit" of
bath tissue, paper towels, trash bags, bath soap, shampoo,
laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent is supplied. Towels
and bed linens are also provided for the number of people each
property sleeps.

Do all of your properties have kitchens?
A
YES! All of our properties come with fully equipped kitchens.
This means that pots, pans and place settings will accommodate
the same number of people the home or condominium sleeps. All
properties have access to barbecues in the summer. Whether you
are planning a picnic or Thanksgiving Dinner, we have you covered!

Am I expected to houseclean before I check out?
A
Our company employs housekeepers to clean your rental after
your departure. This service is added to your rental fee when
you make your reservation. However, we do expect you to do "light
clean up" before departure. This means bagging trash and
loading the dishwasher before you leave.

Why do so few properties allow pets?
A
The properties we manage are privately owned. Therefore, the
owners specify whether or not pets are permitted. We strive to
provide properties that will suit our guests’ needs. In some
cases we can be granted special permission in order to make the
selected lodging better accommodate our guests. If you are having
difficulty finding a property that suits your needs, give us
a call and one of our reservation agents will help you make the
best accommodation decision for your vacation.

Do you provide cribs when our family stays with you?

Cribs may be rented daily and weekly through an independent
business in South Lake Tahoe.

All of our properties vary in age. All of them are well-maintained

Do your properties have boat docks?
A
Most properties within the Tahoe Keys Resort
marina area have access to a boat dock. Some of the Lake Tahoe
Reservation Bureau properties have boat docks close to the property.
If you are looking for a property with a boat dock, be sure to

Do you rent boats?

We do not rent boats or arrange boat rentals. However, we
would be happy to give you names and phone numbers to help
you arrange for a boat rental.

We do not offer ski packages due to the continually changing
weather conditions and the nonrefundable nature of ski passes.
However, we do offer discount lift tickets at our front desk
and we would be happy to assist you upon arrival.

May I use my credit card to make reservations?

YES! The Tahoe Keys Resort and the Lake
Tahoe Reservation Bureau accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover
and American Express. Personal checks are accepted. Use

What is the difference between a standard, moderate, moderate
plus and deluxe property?
A
All of our properties are rated based on the décor and
furnishings of the home, condominium, cabin or cottage. In general,
properties with more modern, coordinated décor will receive
higher ratings. A deluxe property will have modern, matching
décor, while a property receiving a standard designation
may have slightly older furnishings. You can expect that any
property you select will be clean, comfortable and equipped with
everything you need to make your vacation enjoyable.

What time is check-in and check-out?
A
Guaranteed check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out is before
10:00 am. If you need either an early check-in or late check-out
please speak with a reservation agent. We will do everything
we can to accommodate you.

What are the minimum stay requirements?
A
The Tahoe Keys Resort and the Lake Tahoe Reservation Bureau
have varying minimum stay requirements. Each property description
page lists the minimum stay requirements. If space is available,
we will accept fewer nights for bookings made closer to the arrival
date.

Do you offer any discounts?

YES! We do offer discounts during nonholiday times. We offer
a return guest discount, AAA and off-season discounts. Call us

What is the process for reserving a property?
A
In order to reserve a property for the dates
of your vacation, we require a nonrefundable deposit equal to
one night's rent of the property. The balance due on the reservation
will then be due 30 days prior to arrival. (60 days prior on
all Christmas and New Year's reservations.) You can make a reservation

All reservations are nonrefundable. However, we do offer travelers'

Do you have meeting facilities for groups and conventions?
A
The Echo Creek Mountain Ranch is perfect for medium-sized company
retreats and meetings, as well as for weddings and family reunions.
This 16-acre estate has plenty of room for groups of 50 people,
