Family Sleigh Rides
For over 30 years the Borges Family sleigh rides have delighted
visitors from around the world with history, fun and nostalgia.
Your sleigh ride adventure will take you over the meadow, through
the woods and to one of the most spectacular views of the Lake
Tahoe area. Your sleigh will be pulled by either beautiful 2,000
pound Blond Belgian draft horses or the family's rare American-Russian
Baskhir Curlies. The five handmade sleighs vary in size from
a cozy two-seater to a festive 20-passenger sleigh -- all with
plenty of warm blankets for snuggling! During your scenic sleigh
ride your driver will entertain you with tales of Tahoe, poems,
songs and point out local landmarks. Be sure to bring a camera.
A photo of your family or party on the sleigh with breathtaking
Lake Tahoe in the background will become a treasured souvenir,
as well as make a wonderful holiday greeting card.

Sleigh
Rides at Kirkwood
Kirkwood Stables, along with horses Betty and Boop, will take
you for a sleigh ride adventure through the beautiful Kirkwood
Meadow. The sleigh will run Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
throughout the season. Evening rides are available, by appointment.
Sleigh ride tickets are available at Kirkwood Central Reservations
in the New Lodge at Kirkwood or Kirkwood Stables. Visit the
