Borges Family Hayrides
For over 30 years the Borges Family authentic Western-style hayrides and barbecues have delighted visitors from around the world with history, fun, nostalgia and good food. Your wagon will be pulled by either two beautiful 2,000 pound Blond Belgian draft horses or two of the family's rare American-Russian Baskhir Curlies. You'll be taken on a 60-90 minute scenic ride through the Carson Valley, complete with streams running along pastures where cows are grazing and spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. At the Big Barbecue, you can assist with the fixins, or just relax until the buffet is ready. As the sun sets, everyone will gather around a campfire to roast marshmallows, make samores, listen to tales of pioneers and be spooked by ghost stories. Enjoy the hayride with other tourists, or reserve a wagon for a birthday party or a group hayride. Be sure to bring your camera. A photo of your family or party on the wagon will become a treasured souvenir of this fun experience.
