Day Spas in Lake Tahoe Area

Grover
Hot Springs
Located in beautiful Alpine Country, Grover
Hot Springs State Park is just 40 minutes from South Lake Tahoe.
Hawkins and Markleeville Peaks overlook this rustic park where
water from six natural hot springs is caught and routed into
one large soaking pool. The water issues from the earth at 140
degrees F. and is cooled to 102-104 degrees F. for the hot pool.
There is very little sulfur in the water and the main ingredient
is sodium carbonate. There is a cooler swimming pool adjacent
to the hot pool. Lifeguards are on duty. Suit and towel rentals
are available. Showers, too! The hot springs are open year-round.
Hours are 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. during the summer. During the
winter, hours are 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
and 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The hot springs
are always closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New
Year's Day. In the winter, it is best to call ahead for weather
and road conditions. The nominal fee is $4.00 per adult and $2.00
for youth under 18. You may want to add some variety to your
day by taking a hike on one of the many trails that leave from
the state park onto federal lands. More trails are within easy
driving distance of the park.
