Year-Round Drop In Child Care
Bright Beginnings is a licensed facility for children ages 2-8. Diapers are okay. The teachers have at least 12 units of Early Childhood Education courses and CPR/First Aid Training. Teachers are knowledgeable, dedicated to children, and love to have fun! The full and half-day developmentally and age-appropriate preschool programs combine play and learning in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. There are indoor and outdoor play areas. Some of the great things kids do and learn about include: celebrations, computers, cooking, pets, health and safety, math and science, nature, reading and writing, poetry, songs and stories. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided at no additional charge. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and most holidays. Sundays and extended hours are available upon request. Toddler Care is a state-licensed child care center for kids ages 2 and 3. Each day is filled with fun activities including arts and crafts, music, snow play, story time and much more. A special one-hour ski lesson, designed to familiarize children with the equipment and snow environment, is available for children ages 3+. Reservations are recommended. Children's World is open between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily.

Day Care Center at Heavenly Ski Resort

This state-licensed facility provides all-day supervision and activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers -- 6 months through 4 years of age. There are special sitting areas for mothers and babies to share quiet time, and separate play areas for each age group. The full and half-day programs include ski-related activities and good old-fashioned snowplay. Located on the main level of the California Lodge.

This state-licensed facility provides all-day supervision and activities for kids ages 18 months -5 years. The center offers all-day and morning programs that include indoor and outdoor activities, snacks and lunch. Afternoon programs include indoor and outdoor activities and snacks. For ages 4-5, add in a half day of Ski Camp that includes a lift ticket and equipment.

Homewood Children's Center

At the Homewood Children's Center at the South Side Base Area, a state-licensed child care program provides educational and recreational activities for children ages 2+. Kids enjoy computer time and fine motor skill development and there is an emphasis in safety and fun in all winter activities. Skiing and snowboarding lessons for kids ages 4-12 can be integrated into the day. Reservations are recommended for full and half-day programs.

Minor's Camp Child Care Center at Northstar-at-Tahoe
Year-Round
For Northstar's day guests, this state-licensed child care center is open in the summer Mondays through Saturdays and daily during the winter. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for children ages 2-6. Children must be toilet trained to enroll. Parents must remain on Northstar premises while a child is enrolled.

The center's experienced personnel will create a stimulating environment that will fascinate your child all day long. Supervised full and half-day sessions include recreational and educational activities, lunch and snacks.

During the winter, learn-to-ski options that include equipment are available for children ages 3-6. Parents! Trained instructors offer a free hour of tips on skiing with your kids at 2:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday.

During the summer, the program includes art, drama, science, singing, swimming, nature walks, weekly field trips, climbing wall, pony rides, water play, junior ropes course, language development, stories and storytelling.

During the winter, the center features professional supervision and daily indoor and outdoor activities. Full and half-day programs are offered.

During the summer, a child's day is filled with art, song, nature hikes picnics, character and self-esteem building and more. Monday through Friday,

Kids' Camp

"Creating Worldwide Friendships, Everyday!"

Kids' Camp has served Lake Tahoe visitors since 1992. Open to kids ages 6-13 years, this is a great option for the kids to get out and have some fun around Lake Tahoe. With both day and evening sessions available, this safe, fun, and educational program will allow your child to enjoy the limitless opportunities that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Kids' Camp is in no way a baby-sitting service, but a well-rounded program of exciting adventures and activities. Kids' Camp offers children an opportunity to experience Lake Tahoe and leave with memories that are sure to last a lifetime!

Hiking, swimming, movies, bowling and trips to the arcade are just some of the great activities that Kids' Camp does each and every day, year-round. Reservations are required! Kids' Camp has room for only 15 children in each session and reservations should be made as soon as possible. Kids' Camp meets at Harveys Concierge and the Family Fun Center at Harrah's.
